We are currently seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at a leading NHS hospital in London. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in aseptic preparation and be able to contribute to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
About the Role:
- Preparing and dispensing aseptic medications, including chemotherapy, intravenous preparations, and other sterile products.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and aseptic technique guidelines.
- Contributing to the smooth running of the aseptic unit, including stock management and equipment maintenance.
- Mentoring and supporting junior staff and trainees.
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
Salary and Benefits:
- Estimated Salary: £18 - £25 per hour, depending on experience.
- A range of benefits, including competitive pay, flexible working hours, and opportunities for professional development.
Requirements:
- A recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification (BTEC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Minimum 6 months experience working with aseptic services, including preparation of chemotherapy and other sterile products.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques, health and safety regulations, and relevant pharmacy legislation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
