Job Title: SEMHA Support Worker

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic SEMHA Support Worker to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEMHA Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEMH needs, providing individualised support and implementing strategies that promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Implement strategies and interventions to support the social and emotional development of students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to address specific needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of behaviour support plans.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar SEMHA Support Worker role is advantageous.
  • Empathy and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Knowledge of relevant SEMH strategies and interventions.
