We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Excelcare Holdings in Colchester, Essex. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our residents, working closely with our Care Assistants to ensure outstanding care is provided at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of Care Assistants to ensure high-quality care is delivered
- Work closely with the Home Manager and ancillary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
- Engage in meaningful activities with residents, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect
- Develop and implement person-centred care plans and risk assessments to ensure successful care delivery
- Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care OR three years' experience without an NVQ
- Experience in a nursing or care home OR as a home care worker
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks - Care Quality Commission (CQC)
- Knowledge and practice of working with people suffering with dementia is desirable
- Previous experience prompting/administering medication using an electronic e-MAR system would be desirable - full training and support will be provided
