Financial Controller

As a Financial Manager at Barratt Developments, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient running of the Finance department and contributing to the company's success.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Finance department, including the management of accounts, financial planning, and analysis.
- Support the Finance Director in all areas of finance, including strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Line manage the Management Accountant and Accounts Assistant, providing coaching and guidance to ensure their success.
- Collate and analyze data to produce accurate forecasts, including liaison with other departments and stakeholders.
- Manage the company's cash flow and ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records.
- Assist in managing the cost control of the Division, including active participation in the monthly valuation process.
- Review and analyze monthly management accounts and associated reconciliations.
- Provide regular financial reports to the Board and other stakeholders.
- A professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post-qualification experience in a commercial accounting role.
- Experience in collating budgets and monitoring against performance, including cost control.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and assess impacts on the business.
- Self-disciplined, with good time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong IT skills, including financial analysis software.
