This Full Time Transport Shift Manager role involves maintaining a safe working environment, owning recruitment, induction, absence management, well-being meetings &121s process, and ensuring effective communication within the transport teams through regular meetings and briefings.

We are seeking two experienced individuals to join our team in Portbury. As a Night Transport Shift Manager, you will be responsible for delivering operational KPIs, maintaining and improving performance levels to maximise efficiency of operation in line with account KPI's.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a safe and friendly working environment for all employees, agency and subcontractors
  • Owning the recruitment, induction, absence management, well-being meetings &121s process, including disciplinaries, grievances and investigations within the transport department
  • Ensuring effective communication within the transport teams through meetings and briefings
  • Responsible for delivery of operational KPIs. Maintain and improve performance levels to maximise efficiency of operation in line with account KPI's
Required Skills and Qualifications">

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience of a transport function within the FMCG Distribution Industry
  • A background operating at a management level is a must
  • Transport CPC – desirable
  • Possession of analytical mind-set and flexibility to cover various shift patterns in the future
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Trade Unions (previous experience beneficial)
