About the Role

Fugro is seeking a highly skilled Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Procurement & Supply Chain Management organization, you will be responsible for driving the strategy in the EU/AF region, setting priorities to get spend under control and managed in frame agreements that can be utilized by the business with a focus on total cost of ownership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand current MRO and equipment markets and trends, and build the negotiation strategy based on it.
  • Execute the sourcing strategy according to the sourcing process in place, understanding cost structure and TCO, identifying cost and risk optimization opportunities, planning, phasing, and prioritizing.
  • Ensure fluent coordination with the business during the tendering and negotiation of contracts with Suppliers, making details available to the business.
  • Analyze and understand spend data, exploring negotiation leverage and economies of scale.
  • Be part of the key focal group within the organization to drive P&L value by negotiating and contracting key suppliers in the region.
  • Spend analysis, mapping key stakeholders (internal/external), ensuring adherence to current procedures in place, and being the key driver of them.

Requirements

  • At least a BSC degree in a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience as Purchaser, Contracting, Category Manager, or similar procurement or Supply Chain function.
  • Ideally previous experience & commercial knowledge in the MRO/Equipment industry and familiar with handling & negotiating framework agreements.
  • Commercial insight, able to think and understand both the customer as well as sales perspective, negotiate preferred terms with suppliers, and weigh customer requirements against sourcing capacities and capabilities.
  • Excellent English and Dutch language skills, both written and oral.
