Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Clinical Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to the wards and within the dispensary, including patient counselling and multi-disciplinary working with ward-based pharmacists, medical and nursing staff.
As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the pharmacy service by pursuing value-added projects that resonate with you.
Salary and Benefits
The annual salary for this position is £29,116 - £31,670, plus a Distant Islands Allowance of £1,349 per annum.
You will also enjoy a range of benefits, including 37 hours per week – part-time hours would be considered, and a permanent post.
About the Role
As a Clinical Pharmacy Technician, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals and primary care teams, to deliver high-quality medicines-related projects across the patient population.
You will have opportunities to get involved in providing a pharmacy service to the local hospice and remotely to other hospitals in the archipelago, as well as participating in multi-disciplinary training sessions.
