About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Efficiency Specialist to join our team at NICEIC. As an Energy Efficiency Consultant, you will play a crucial role in undertaking assessments for our customers registered for EEM, Building Fabric Measures (BFM), and/or Domestic Heating installations on our MCS PAS 2030 and Competent Person schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake procedural and site competency assessments for NICEIC registered businesses for MCS Building Fabric Measures (BFM) and/or Domestic Heating installations to PAS 2030 and Building Regulations Competent Person schemes.
  • Assess businesses' work and resources to ensure they comply with the scheme rules and technical requirements relating to prior to registration.
  • Technical Excellence surveillance assessments to determine their eligibility for continued certification.
  • Build relationships with applicants for registration, electrical contractors, their employees, and various other professional bodies, and provide qualified assessment services.
  • Work independently in accordance with instructions and guidance outlined in procedural manuals.
  • Demonstrate a high level of technical competence over EEM Building Fabric Measures (BFM) and/or Domestic Heating Installations to PAS 2030.
Requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of EEM Building Fabric Measures (BFM) and/or Domestic Heating Installations to PAS 2030 and related codes of practice.
  • Suitable technical qualifications for EEM Building Fabric Measures (BFM) and/or Domestic Heating Installations to PAS 2030.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant Competent Person schemes.
  • Report writing, numeracy, and PC skills.
  • Communication skills with the ability to build excellent relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent customer service skills – can recognize the customers' needs and strive to deliver the best level of customer service.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of accreditation criteria.
  • Full UK driving license.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Corporate membership of the IET/CIBSE.
  • Domestic Energy Assessor/Retrofit Assessor.
  • Retrofit Coordinator.
  • Auditing experience.
