About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Waking Nights Support Coach to join our team at New Start. As a Waking Nights Support Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are experiencing homelessness and providing them with the necessary care and guidance to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete Health & Safety checks and respond to any incidents that may occur during the night.
  • Oversee the safety and security of residents and crash bed users, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Undertake administrative tasks as requested by support workers or management, including updating case records and incident management.
  • Work independently during the night, with the support of an on-call manager.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a confident and empathetic individual with a can-do attitude. You will have a desire to learn and develop your skills, knowledge, and career aspirations. You will also have demonstrable experience in a waking nights post, supporting outreach services or within a hostel setting.

We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and has a strong understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable adults, including homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, and offending.
