La Fosse, a leading recruitment partner, is working with an InsurTech pioneer to find a seasoned Chief Cybersecurity Strategist. This pivotal role demands expertise in crafting and enforcing robust security protocols, safeguarding systems and critical data assets. The successful candidate will oversee the implementation of security technologies, foster collaboration across departments, and lead incident response efforts.

The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience in Information Security, preferably within the InsurTech or FinTech sectors. A deep understanding of security frameworks and hands-on AWS security experience are essential. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly valued. The chosen professional should demonstrate a proven track record of effectively collaborating with engineering teams and supporting secure development practices.

This is a hybrid role requiring two weekly visits to our Central London office. The salary for this position is expected to be around £120,000 per annum, depending on experience. About the Role:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures aligned with industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and architecture reviews, driving mitigation strategies to ensure maximum security.
  • Oversee incident response, disaster recovery, and digital forensics efforts to minimize downtime and maintain business continuity.
  • Collaborate closely with IT, legal, and compliance teams to integrate security practices throughout the organization.
  • Configure and manage security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions to protect against emerging threats.
  • Maintain secure cloud environments, particularly in AWS, and support DevOps security practices to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.

About You:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Information Security, ideally within the InsurTech or FinTech sector.
  • Solid understanding of security frameworks with hands-on AWS security experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
  • Proven track record of working effectively with engineering teams and supporting secure development practices.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, adept at building relationships with global teams.
