Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team at Trial Balance Consulting. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our finance function, using digital accounting systems to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the production of management accounts with accompanying commentary
  • Work closely with external accountants in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts, financial statements, and annual audit
  • Prepare VAT reports and financial analysis
  • Assist with monthly payroll and pension processing
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Take a lead role in control account reconciliations, prepayments, and accruals
  • Support quarterly reviews and annual budgets with directors
  • Identify areas for improving financial performance of specific divisions of the business

Requirements:

  • Experience in end-to-end accounting, ideally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Part or fully AAT qualified, or demonstrable vocational experience
  • Strong IT aptitude and excellent skills in the use of Sage, MS Excel, and bespoke digital accounting tools
