We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a well-established special school in Harlow. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) in a class and 1:1 setting.
Key Responsibilities- Support students with SLD and PMLD, including those with Autism and limited verbal language, in a calm and nurturing manner.
- Assist with behavioural and emotional regulation when behaviours are challenging.
- Communicate effectively using PECS, Makaton, and visual timetables.
- Be proactive and flexible in your approach to supporting students.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
