Contract Quantity Surveyor

We are committed to delivering innovation and sustainability in the public sector, with a focus on construction projects. Our team in Norwich is seeking an experienced Contract Quantity Surveyor to join us on a permanent, full-time basis.
Job DescriptionIn this role, you will provide services at all stages of quantity surveying projects, collaborating with our team, clients, and third parties to prepare and present tender documentation, alongside:
- Preparing feasibility studies, preliminary estimates, cost plans, databases, tender and other analysis and advising on the economics of design at the early stages of a project.
- Preparing high-quality tender documentation undertaking pricing documentation during tender periods.
- Undertaking preliminary analysis of tenders, preparing cost breakdowns and initial cost profile under supervision and negotiating contract sums.
- Controlling all post-contract procedures, making valuations for payments, producing financial reports and monitoring actual and anticipated expenditure.
- Assisting Contract Administrators in the preparation of AI's, evaluation of claims for extensions of time.
- Assisting in the project management of schemes, setting objectives, providing direction, advising on related matters including issuing progress reports and in post-contract reviews.
- Preparing final accounts and agreeing with contractor, including verifying claims and dealing with audit procedures.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Contract Quantity Surveyor who can demonstrate the ability to undertake work at all stages of a project. The ideal candidate will have:
- A proven track record in a similar Quantity Surveying role.
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related discipline.
- Knowledge of up-to-date Construction Design & Management (CDM) Regulations and familiar with health and safety legislation and risks and hazards associated with asbestos.
- A current CSCS card, or be willing to attain.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience of using BCIS Online and NBS Building (Desirable).
- Project Management experience on a range of building works of differing sizes and types (Desirable).
