About Extra Care Housing

At Cumberland Council, we support older adults to live independently in a way that suits them. Our Extra Care Housing provides assistance to individuals living within assisted living communities, where they have their own home environment, such as a flat or bungalow.

Caregiver Role and Responsibilities

As a Support Worker (Carer, Care Worker, Care Assistant), you will have the opportunity to get to know people individually and support their wellbeing through physical and emotional care. Your tasks may include assisting with medication, providing personal care, and encouraging our residents to achieve or maintain independence.

No Experience Needed - Fully Paid Training Provided

We don't require any experience or qualifications to start this role. We offer fully paid training and development to help you grow in your career. If you do have experience, you can take the next step with us.
