About the Role

As a Chief Engineer at Saab, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of cutting-edge electronics systems. With a strong background in power supply design and high voltage engineering, you will be part of a team that brings together the best of Swedish and British innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Create new electronics designs from first principles, through the development lifecycle to production release.
  2. Power Supply Design: Design AD-DC, DC-DC, and Inversion power supplies.
  3. High Voltage Experience: Develop high voltage systems up to 5kV.
  4. Thermal Management: Design and implement thermal management techniques for through-hole and surface mount devices.
  5. System Integration: System level integration and testing of electronics systems.
  6. Quality and Safety: Cooperate with the company to achieve a healthy, safe, and sustainable working environment, and deliver products and services in line with Saab Seaeye quality standards.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Proven experience in electronics design and development, with a focus on power supply design and high voltage engineering.
  2. Skills: Strong knowledge of power switching devices, gate-drive circuitry, and thermal management techniques. Experience with modelling and simulation tools, and good understanding of digital and analogue design concepts.
  3. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
