About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Treasury Financial Specialist to join our dynamic treasury team at Empirical Search Limited. This is a unique opportunity to develop and maintain treasury systems, processes, reporting, cash management & forecast, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for producing daily bank and cash position reports, ensuring accurate and timely information is available for stakeholders.
  • Manage the placement of excess funds, including money markets deposits and fixed-term investments, to optimize returns while minimizing risk.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and manage financial risks, such as foreign exchange, interest rate, credit, and liquidity risks, within agreed policies and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain a short-term liquidity forecast, sourcing inputs from across Finance and the business.
  • Support the implementation of new treasury management systems, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Oversee bank mandate management, payment systems, and access rights to treasury systems, ensuring secure and efficient transactions.
  • Maintain all Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements and respond to routine bank queries or requests.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient bank and bank account structure across the group, optimizing costs and reducing complexity.
  • Prepare and present treasury reports to internal stakeholders, external parties, and shareholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Coordinate the preparation and monitoring of purchase orders for treasury-related invoices, ensuring timely settlement and minimizing discrepancies.
  • Design and implement dashboard reporting for the CFO and Treasury Committee, providing actionable insights and trend analysis.
  • Manage internal and external audit workstreams, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Provide expert treasury advice to internal stakeholders, ensuring coherence and accuracy in decision-making.
  • Support the Head of Treasury with the annual insurance renewal program, identifying opportunities for cost savings and risk reduction.
  • Assist the Head of Treasury & Insurance with other projects and ad-hoc tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Possess a recognized professional accounting qualification, such as Chartered Accountant or equivalent, and/or Associate Member of Corporate Treasurers (AMCT).
  • Hold at least 3 years post-qualification experience in a corporate treasury function, demonstrating expertise and leadership skills.

Salary Range: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
