Podiatrist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Podiatrist to join our Community Podiatry Team, providing specialist podiatric care to patients with active foot conditions related to wounds and tissue viability. The successful candidate will work closely with Consultants, the Multidisciplinary Diabetes Footcare Team, specialist Nurses, and General Practitioners to manage patients with complex foot care needs.

• Provide expert podiatry input as part of the Community Podiatry Team, working closely with Consultants and other healthcare professionals to manage patients with active foot conditions.
• Assess and formulate specialist treatment plans based on patients' individual needs, using evidence-based principles to deliver high-quality care.
• Manage referrals into the Community Podiatry Team, ensuring timely and effective allocation of appointments and resources.
• Act as a source of expert advice, supervision, and education for fellow podiatrists and other healthcare professionals, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the Team Leader and other podiatry leads to ensure seamless patient delivery services across Worcestershire.

• 5 years' experience in treating high-risk patients within podiatry or as part of a Multidisciplinary Team.
• Experience of carrying out biomechanical assessments and examinations, with the ability to prescribe, cast, and manufacture orthotics.
• Postgraduate training to masters level in a relevant speciality is desirable.
