We are seeking an Early Years Apprentice to join our team at Bright Horizons Phoenix Day Nursery and Preschool.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with young children and supporting their learning and development.

  • Salary: £25,222.70 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years, as well as supporting the nursery team in maintaining a safe and stimulating environment.

About the Role

As an Early Years Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy nursery setting, working closely with experienced practitioners to develop your skills and knowledge.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging activities and play opportunities that promote children's learning and development, as well as supporting parents and carers to ensure smooth transitions between home and nursery.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years
  • Supporting the nursery team in maintaining a safe and stimulating environment
  • Planning and delivering engaging activities and play opportunities that promote children's learning and development
  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers to ensure smooth transitions between home and nursery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Maths and English qualification GCSE Grade C / Level 4 or above, or Functional Skills Level 2. If not already held, a willingness to complete Functional Skills alongside apprenticeship.
  • Previous experience working with children beneficial, but not essential - Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
