Job Summary

York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking skilled and dedicated Paediatric Nurses to join our Nurse Bank. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills in various settings, working across our hospitals in York, Scarborough, and surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients, ensuring accurate records are kept.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Promote positive relationships between staff involved in patient care.
  • Act in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Conduct.
  • Undertake duties on different wards/departments as required by service demands.
  • Demonstrate personal responsibility for infection control policies and procedures.

  • Registered Children's Nurse.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in a range of clinical settings.
  • Willingness to undertake continued professional development within the clinical area.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
