Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Unsted Park School, a SEN school specialising in the education and care of children and young people with autism spectrum disorder and associated learning difficulties.

About Us

Unsted Park School is set in a beautiful semi-rural location with 44 acres of surrounding grounds. We provide a safe, positive environment that enables each individual to achieve their maximum potential. Our focus is on three core areas: education, independence, and inclusion. We offer person-centred programmes tailored to individual abilities and strengths.

Main Duties and Expectations
  • You will receive and respond promptly to referrals, undertaking initial assessments to establish the scope, level, and nature of the individual's therapeutic and mental health needs.
  • You will lead and facilitate group and/or individual therapy sessions, ensuring interventions continue to meet the needs of the young person and are consistent with their therapy plan.
  • You will manage, monitor, and review an assigned caseload, ensuring delivery within agreed timescales.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience working with young people with ASD, preferably within an educational setting. They should be able to work independently and as part of a team. A passion for helping others and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children are essential.
