Crime Duty Solicitor Job Description

A leading and niche practice in Central London seeks a Crime Duty Solicitor to join their office located in London. The successful applicant will utilise their expertise and experience to handle a complex caseload of criminal matters, whilst providing first class representation at police stations.

Responsibilities
  • Attending police stations to represent clients detained in police stations
  • Representation in the Magistrates' and High Court
  • Advocacy in court
  • Extradition proceedings
  • Handling complex cases involving murder, manslaughter, burglary, robbery, drug offences, fraud, rape, sexual offences, and road traffic offences
  • Interviewing witnesses and drafting witness statements
The Candidate

We are seeking a solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' PQE and crime duty accreditation. The ideal candidate will be able to manage a demanding caseload with minimal supervision, be highly organised, and have excellent communication and client care skills.
