Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to join a highly experienced team of process and technical safety engineers, working on various exciting and impactful projects across different industry sectors. As a Graduate Chemical Engineer, you will work alongside a senior engineer/consultant on all types of project sizes and complexities, with a particular emphasis on an agile approach to identify new and more efficient ways of working.

You will be responsible for performing basic process engineering and technical safety tasks to generate initial project deliverables cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. You will also prepare project documentation within your scope of deliverables.


Main Accountabilities
  • Technical Contribution:
    • Perform basic process engineering and technical safety tasks to generate initial project deliverables cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
    • Prepare project documentation within your scope of deliverables.
  • Contract Management:
    • Identify variation requests to support contract claims issuing.
  • Planning and Control:
    • Follow work plans and cost estimates in your area of responsibility.
    • Ensure quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management:
    • Support risk assessments and implementation of resulting actions in your area of responsibility.
    • Document and handle technical risks according to mitigation guidelines.
  • Processes And Tools:
    • Use standard processes, software and tools applicable to your area of responsibility.
    • Report process and tool inefficiencies, along with suggesting ideas for improvement.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum 2:1 Masters degree level qualified in Chemical/Process Engineering from an IChemE accredited course.
  • A clean UK driving license.

Desirable qualifications include engineering experience working in High Hazard Oil, Gas & Chemicals Industry and Associate membership of relevant institutions such as the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
