NHS Lothian is committed to delivering high-quality mental health services to women and their families. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Consultant Perinatal Psychologist to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of psychological provision to support the mental health of mothers and their relationships with their babies. This will involve maintaining a caseload for psychological intervention with patients with complex needs, as well as managing and supervising staff across the Community Perinatal Mental Health Team and Mother & Baby Inpatient Unit.
The post-holder will also be expected to provide training to psychology and multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to strategic developments at local, regional, and national levels. We are looking for a compassionate and experienced leader who can demonstrate a commitment to delivering a service that is accessible and respectful to all.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a caseload for psychological intervention with patients with complex needs
- Managing and supervising staff across the Community Perinatal Mental Health Team and Mother & Baby Inpatient Unit
- Providing training to psychology and multidisciplinary teams
