About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our 0-19 Service as a Staff Nurse on our development programme. This exciting opportunity will enable you to acquire public health skills and experience, ultimately leading to a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) qualification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support families with children who have complex needs, providing holistic care and guidance.
  • Conduct health needs assessments and attend review meetings for children looked after, ensuring their well-being and safety.
  • Deliver transfer into area visits, providing reassurance and support to families.
  • Triage A&E attendances and offer follow-up support to families, promoting health and well-being.
  • Provide medical conditions training to schools and parents, empowering them with knowledge and skills.
  • Offer short-term packages of care to families/young people requiring specific support, addressing their unique needs.
  • Signpost to other key services and complete referrals as appropriate, ensuring seamless care pathways.
