Carpenter Multi Specialist

Mountjoy Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Carpenter Multi to join our team at the University of Southampton. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for a wide range of carpentry repairs and maintenance tasks across the university's residential halls and estates.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and maintenance, with experience working in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out a wide range of carpentry repairs and maintenance tasks, including fitting of doors, first and second fixing carpentry, kitchen installations, and minor decorative works.
• Work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results and meet deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with residents, university representatives, and other stakeholders.
• Identify and report any health and safety risks or concerns.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years' experience working in building maintenance and educational environments.
• NVQ level 2-3 in carpentry or equivalent.
• Competence in two other secondary skills.
• Full driving license.
• Ability to use a phone or PDA to communicate effectively.
