We are seeking a highly skilled Property and Casualty Underwriter to join our team in the midmarket segment. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for developing and growing our commercial book of business with brokers and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with brokers and customers to understand their needs and provide whole customer solutions
  • Analyse risks and communicate effectively with brokers and customers
  • Work collaboratively within the Southeast Underwriting team to deliver financial results
  • Manage your own diary and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Regularly visit brokers to develop and strengthen working relationships
  • Handle new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments

Requirements:

  • Previous Property and Liability underwriting experience
  • Strong commercial business insight and ability to create business cases
  • Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a large complex organisation
