About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer to join our team, responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting dental and veterinary equipment across the South West UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong electromechanical background and excellent customer-facing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary focus on X-ray dental and veterinary equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of dental tables, tools, and other electromechanical devices.
  • Travel to customer sites, typically involving 7-10 overnight stays each month.

Requirements:

  • Experience in veterinary and/or dental engineering is desirable.
  • Specialist knowledge of X-ray equipment servicing, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong electromechanical skills, with preference for candidates with a background in military engineering or similar technical experience.
  • Excellent self-motivation, organisation, and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and possess the technical expertise to handle various equipment challenges.

Package Details:

  • Salary: £40,000 per annum depending on experience.
  • Car allowance of £700 per month to support travel.
  • A structured working week from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • Time in lieu for any weekend work (rarely happens, only a few times a year).
  • 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
