Junior Credit Analyst

Handpickedrecruitment is seeking a highly skilled Junior Credit Analyst to join their team in central London. As a Junior Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting the Board and Financial Analyst in ad-hoc projects and internal/external reporting, loan/lease facility monitoring, and reviewing onboarding applications for new corporate counterparties.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the Board and Financial Analyst in ad-hoc projects and internal/external reporting
  2. Monitor loan and lease facilities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  3. Review onboarding applications for new corporate counterparties to ensure they meet company risk criteria
  4. Screen counterparties for money laundering, sanctions, and other risks
  5. Assist in the management of the group credit insurance policy
  6. Conduct annual reviews of counterparties based on third-party credit reports
  7. Perform periodic reconciliations of large data sets
  8. Maintain electronic filing records for derivative counterparty credit
  9. Maintain market research and business intelligence
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a strong quantitative background
  2. Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to understand, analyze, manipulate complex models, reports, and present results
  3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant volumes of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  4. Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings
  5. Knowledge of basic statistics
  6. Strong attention to detail and scrutiny of all data provided
  7. Strong ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
  8. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
