Warehouse Operative Job Description

First Military Recruitment is seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient working environment, ensuring accurate and timely processing of goods, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting any hazards or incidents.
  • Ensure all equipment and areas of the warehouse are clean, tidy, and organized, and that daily checks are completed to ensure mechanical equipment is safe to use.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles, checking against notes to ensure accuracy of receipt or dispatch of goods.
  • Verify the accuracy and condition of inbound and outbound shipments, and report any quality variances to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Book in all incoming stock and store it in a safe and secure manner, ensuring it is placed in the correct location.
  • Pick and prepare products for shipping, ensuring the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
  • Use bar-code scanners as required, and assist with all warehouse roles as needed.
  • Be flexible with hours to suit the company's requirements.
Requirements:
  • Full valid Forklift licenses (Reach & Counterbalance).
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.

Location: Altrincham Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 Per Annum
