We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our integrated primary care mental health team within the Prison. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-volume, low-intensity interventions for clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression, adhering to the Step 2 IAPT guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver guided self-help in both 1:1 and group formats, ensuring a supportive and non-judgmental environment for clients.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to manage risk and public protection, upholding the Prison Service policies and procedures.
  • Act in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, ensuring the secure management of client data and adherence to our Data Management and Information Governance policies.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • Support the charity's mission by encouraging people to join Rethink Mental Illness as members, donors, or activists.
  • Engage in regular clinical and managerial supervision, ensuring ongoing professional development and adherence to our Professional Boundaries, Health & Safety, and Safeguarding policies.

Requirements:

  • Accredited PWP with BPS or BABCP registration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) principles and low-intensity interventions.
  • Ability to maintain professional registration requirements and adhere to our internal standards of practice.
