Workshop Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Workshop Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team at our West London Depot. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective running of the workshop, maintaining high standards of repair, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Workshop Service Manager in maintaining efficient workshop operations, ensuring KPIs are met, and machines under repair are minimized.
  2. Undertake routine and complex repairs to machines, adhering to manufacturers' specifications and company policy.
  3. Collaborate with the depot team to optimize repair times, reducing downtime and improving overall efficiency.
  4. Act as a company ambassador, providing exceptional customer care and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  5. Accurately complete all relevant paperwork, utilizing the company's engineering system/application.
  6. Update the system on machine status changes, ensuring accurate records and compliance with quality and safety standards.
  7. Ensure adherence to Quality, Health & Safety standards and policies, promoting a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  1. IPAF Operator Licence.
  2. Relevant general engineering maintenance qualification, preferably to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  3. Experience in completing complex engineering repairs.
  4. A mature outlook, ability to prioritize tasks, and work well under pressure.
  5. Understanding of excellent customer service principles.
  6. Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics, and diagnostics fault finding.
  7. Ability to use basic functions of the operating system (L-Vis) to complete tasks relevant to the role.
  8. Ability to complete basic company administration processes in line with the role.
