Ballinger & Co. is an independent provider of foreign exchange risk management and trading services to financial institutions and corporate clients with large and complex FX requirements.

We are a fast growing, well-funded business run by a team of FX specialists who previously built and sold the UK's largest FX broker.

This role serves a pivotal part in our operations team, supporting multiple work streams as required. Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing client instructions in real-time
  • Approving payment information, creating and reviewing beneficiary details, and following up with clients or internal departments when necessary
  • Creating, reviewing, and approving all payments (domestic and international)
  • Reviewing and cancelling/amending/modifying foreign exchange transactions as required
  • Communicating with clients regarding clarification of beneficiary instructions or FX trades
  • Reconciling bank accounts against our internal treasury management system
  • Liaising with our Risk Team to ensure our exposure is covered and margin calls are met

This role also plays a key part in several projects aimed at improving processes.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum 6 months experience in domestic and/or international payment processing, although this can be overlooked for the right candidate
  • High attention to detail to ensure payment accuracy and prompt delivery to the ultimate beneficiary
  • Ability to analyze payment instructions for viability
  • Ability to work within rules and guidelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

You will also have experience in:

  • Payment functions
  • Reconciliation functions
  • Understanding of KYC and Client Onboarding
  • Knowledge of the FX Payments industry
