Job Summary

As an IT Operations Specialist at BMW Plant Oxford, you will play a crucial role in supporting the plant's operations by managing and maintaining the various IT applications critical to its success. This includes coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective resolutions to any incidents or problems that arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve IT-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to plant operations.
  • Facilitate the planning, testing, and deployment of changes or updates to IT applications.
  • Generate reports and analyze data related to IT applications' performance, usage, and compliance.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and knowledge-sharing initiatives to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Ensure IT applications comply with industry standards, regulations, and security policies.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in common IT applications and tools, such as office productivity suites and project management software.
  • Familiarity with programming languages, databases, and scripting tools used in enterprise IT environments.
  • SQL skills for querying, manipulating, and analyzing data from databases.
  • Proficiency in generating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support decision-making.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, and cloud-based services.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to diagnose and resolve IT-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
