About Your Role
We are looking for expressions of interest from Registered Clinical or Forensic psychologists to work on full time or sessional basis with Ocean Community Services.
We are proud to provide progressive, recovery focused and person-centred community service for people with complex needs connected to mental health problems and / or learning disability.
Our work as a clinical team is centred on helping people to live fulfilling lives in the community, either through direct work or through consultation and support to staff teams.
Our Approach
We are currently rolling out our own evidence based personalised psychological care approach, "Recovery in Supported Environments" (RISE) which has been designed around the values of the Wales Social Services and Wellbeing Act: wellbeing, people, partnership and prevention.
This approach is our way of supporting teams to provide care to people with complex needs while upholding the values of person-centred care, and ensuring that we remain focused – at all times – on outcomes for the person.
Requirements
To deliver on our goals we need to continue to grow a team of dedicated expert clinicians who are able to combine a person-centred approach with evidence-based practice.
We are interested in talking to people with specific interests and expertise in behavioural and cognitive behavioural approaches and positive behaviour support.
People with experience in forensic settings and with an interest in treatment approaches for complex trauma are particularly encouraged to apply.
Registration
All staff who work in a service that is registered with Care Inspectorate for Wales (CIW) will be required to register with Social Care Wales from 1st October 2022.
You must also be prepared to work towards/undertake the necessary qualifications to meet the requirements to register.
