Mechanical Design Engineer for RF Communications

We are currently working with a client in the UK to find a Mechanical Design Engineer who can work on a 6 month contract. The ideal candidate should be based in the UK and willing to work onsite in North East London, 3 days a week.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work on product development of RF communications and high frequency electronics. They will be required to design mechanical components using Solidworks tools and have experience of environmental test methods for design verification and certification.

In addition to these skills, the candidate should have knowledge and experience of BS8888 and engineering drawings using GD&T. They must also be competent in various modelling techniques, including surface modelling.

The role involves designing for a range of manufacturing processes and integrating electronic components into assemblies. A strong understanding of mechanical integration is essential.

Requirements
  • Solidworks expertise
  • Experience of environmental testing and certification
  • Knowledge of BS8888 and GD&T
  • Competency in surface modelling and other advanced techniques
  • Designing for multiple manufacturing processes
