About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced Materials Scientist to join our Engineering team at our Cramlington Global Centre for Hose Manufacturing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting research, specifying, and selecting materials and/or technologies to enhance hose designs, optimize production processes, and improve production efficiency.

Your Responsibilities:
- Assess and revise or develop materials for current hose designs and/or assemblies.
- Manage and maintain Material Data Sheets within our relevant system, ensuring they are up to date.
- Support post failure analysis activity.
- Collaborate with material lab technicians on active research and engineering projects.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in materials science/engineering, chemical engineering, or process engineering/science, and a minimum three years of experience in either research and development or manufacturing within a related product line. Your estimated salary will be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience.
