Birmingham, Birmingham, United Kingdom Graduate Network Full time

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate graduate to provide 1:1 support for a young boy in Year 5 at a welcoming primary school in the Ward of Selly Oak. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies that help the pupil reach their full potential.

Your role will be key in creating a supportive, positive space where the child feels understood and encouraged. You will provide crucial support to a child with Autism, ADHD, and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), assisting with their social, emotional, and academic development.

We are looking for a graduate who is patient, empathetic, and passionate about working with children who have additional needs. While previous experience in a similar role or knowledge of SEN support is desirable, it is not essential—what matters most is your commitment to helping the child succeed.

As a member of the Graduate Network, you will have the opportunity to make a genuine impact and embark on a rewarding journey. If you're ready to take on this challenge, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a child with Autism, ADHD, and EBD
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies
  • Assist with the child's social, emotional, and academic development
  • Create a supportive and positive space for the child

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in a relevant field
  • Patience, empathy, and passion for working with children with additional needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to helping the child succeed

What We Offer:

  • A rewarding and challenging role
  • The opportunity to make a genuine impact on a child's life
  • A supportive and positive work environment
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities
