As a Civil Engineering Project Manager at Dyer & Butler, you will play a key role in delivering specialist engineering services to the UK's transport network.

You will oversee civil engineering projects across our varied portfolio of civil infrastructure works, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include supervising site activities, implementing health and safety management systems, and monitoring site costs.

">

The ideal candidate will have a degree in civil engineering or a related field, significant experience in project management, particularly in safety-critical environments, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

In addition, the candidate should hold SMSTS certification, have experience in managing temporary works, and possess a full clean driving license.

Requirements:

  • Civil Engineering Degree (or equivalent): A degree in civil engineering or a related field is essential, along with a proven track record of managing civil engineering and infrastructure projects.">
  • Project Management Experience: Significant experience in project management, particularly in safety-critical environments, is required.">
  • Safety Regulations: A thorough understanding of safety regulations, particularly CDM, is essential.">
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen, including knowledge of project management and NEC forms of contract, is required.">
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective team leadership and stakeholder management.">
  • SMSTS Certification: Holders of SMSTS certification are preferred.">
  • Temporary Works Experience: Experience in managing temporary works is an advantage.">
  • Minimum 5 Years Experience as Site Manager: A minimum of 5 years' experience as a site manager is required.">
  • CSCS Card: Possession of a CSCS card - Black is essential.">
  • Full Clean Driving License: A full clean driving license is required.">
  • IT Literacy: Basic IT literacy is essential for effective project management.">
  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors is essential.">
