Air / Sea Freight Import Clerk

This role is ideal for those experienced in either Air Import or Sea Imports, with a keen eye for customs procedures and compliance. Don't worry if you need training – our company will provide the necessary support.

We're looking for someone who can:

  • Prepare job quotes and manage costing effectively
  • Liaise with international partners and offices to ensure seamless communication
  • Utilize Boxtop/Sequoia or Cargowise software to create and update job files
  • Coordinate with customers for clearance instructions
  • Clear customs efficiently
  • Keep customers informed throughout the process
  • Organize airline/shipping line collections and deliveries
  • Cost and invoice shipments as needed
  • Negotiate with shipping lines/agents and hauliers for a smooth start-to-finish experience
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Deliver exceptional customer service

Details:

Work hours: Monday to Friday, 0900-1730hrs

Estimated salary: £28,000-£35,000 based on experience
