About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and security-conscious individual to join our team as a Security Escort at HMP Bullingdon in Bicester. As a Security Escort, you will be responsible for escorting contractors as they carry out maintenance work around the prison for a variety of different projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct full body searches for contractors as they enter and leave the prison
- Perform tool checks to ensure contractors have the necessary equipment
- Patrol the prison grounds to maintain security and ensure health and safety standards are met
- Monitor work in progress to ensure contractors are adhering to security protocols
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Security conscious and able to maintain confidentiality
- UK driving license
What We Offer
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the everyday running of prison life and could lead to long-term permanent roles within the prison service. As a Security Escort, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of contractors and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.
Working Arrangements
This is an ongoing temporary contract, working Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 16:00 with an hour's unpaid lunch. You will be required to work a premium rate of £14.00 per hour, with opportunities for overtime at £17.41 per hour (weekday) and £22.92 per hour (weekend).
