Established for over 40 years and now one of the largest engineering and fabrication companies in the UK, WEC Group Ltd requires a professional Health & Safety Specialist to lead our team at our headquarters in Lancashire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated Health & Safety Specialist, who can improve the Health and safety systems and culture within a dynamic and rapidly expanding engineering company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide advice on any health & safety improvements to ensure the safety of all personnel and visitors.
  • Conduct audits throughout the group in line with current accreditations.
  • Conduct health & safety awareness training when required.
  • Host external accreditation audits.
  • Conduct safety inspections throughout the group.
  • Coordinating risk assessments and ensuring they are current and effective within all departments.
  • Continue to improve the health & safety within the company.
  • Control and investigate any Health & Safety claims or complaints.
  • Provide regular updates to top management of any key improvements and issues.

Requirements

  • Qualified to NEBOSH as a minimum.
  • Previous health & safety experience within an engineering environment is beneficial.
  • A high level of IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • A full UK driving licence.
