With a well-regarded and long-standing reputation in the area, this firm is seeking an excellent communicator and an accountant who is ready to step in and oversee the preparation of statutory and financial statements, as well as the process of audit from planning to completion.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to ACA/ACCA level and have experience of being a coach and mentor to junior members of the team. They will have both audit and accounting experience and be excited to hear that this role offers full professional development support and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of the preparation of statutory and financial statements.
  • Oversight of the process of audit; planning to completion.
  • Oversight of the preparation and submission of financial statements.
  • Oversight of the Preparation of tax returns and assessments for a range of organisational structures.
  • VAT returns.
  • Manage workflow and ensure client work is completed and delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with HMRC on client matters.
  • Offer an enhanced level of customer service and nurture client relationships.
  • Oversee the performance, learning and development of the junior team.
  • Promote and strive for customer service excellence.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as required.
