Vallum Associates is seeking a Senior Pricing Actuary to join our team in London.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Pricing Actuary to support our Pricing function. The successful candidate will take ownership of the end-to-end pricing process, manage actuarial resourcing, and provide leadership on deal pricing and rate adequacy.

Key Responsibilities

* Take ownership of the end-to-end pricing process, including policy, tool suite, inflation studies, control processes, and roadmap
* Manage actuarial resourcing to support the underwriting referrals workflow
* Provide leadership on deal pricing, rate adequacy, binder deep dives, and horizon scanning
* Challenge, review, and sign-off loss and pricing models
* Oversee and enhance the exposure management process to ensure catastrophe risk is understood and managed
* Direct account performance and market conditions monitoring
* Explore novel data sources and alternative analytical tools and techniques

Requirements

* Strong stakeholder management and ability to build productive relationships
* Solid understanding of case pricing/deal pricing
* Excellent knowledge of London Market insurance
* Qualified member of the Institute of Actuaries or equivalent
* Experience in and comfortable using programming languages such as SQL, Python, and VBA
* Excellent communication skills to represent Pricing to a range of stakeholders
