Job Description

This Senior Materials Researcher role is part of the Faraday Institution funded SOLBAT and/or LiSTAR projects at the University of Oxford. We are looking for a skilled researcher to contribute to these projects under the supervision of Prof.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD/DPhil in Materials Science or Chemistry and experience in beyond Li-ion batteries. They must possess significant expertise in fundamental materials science, synthesis of air-sensitive materials, and solid-state electrochemistry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing own academic research and administrative activities
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing for publication, presenting research proposals and results, and representing the research group
  • A strong publication record in related fields

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
