About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in Haematology. As a key member of our ward, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care to patients with haematological conditions, including those requiring chemotherapy and supportive therapies.
  • Work in a rotational post between our inpatient ward and day unit, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of patient needs and care pathways.
  • Develop and implement holistic care plans, taking into account the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in audit and benchmarking processes to drive quality improvement and best practice.
Requirements
  • First-level registered nurse registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • SACT training and experience in administering prescribed medication, including transfusions and blood products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, with a commitment to high standards of patient-centred care.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work a combination of long days, nights, and weekends.
