About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team in Haringey, North London. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing dedicated support to children with SEMH needs, ensuring they receive the necessary attention and care.
  • Leading small group activities and assisting in 1:1 sessions to help students reach their full potential.
  • Collaborating with the school's SEN team to monitor and support student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective strategies.
  • Encouraging and inspiring students to develop a love of learning, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assisting in classroom management, maintaining a safe and organised learning space.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A degree from a top UK University.
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
  • A genuine interest in SEMH and special educational needs.
