Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and delivering tailored educational activities to meet the needs of SEN students.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, promoting academic and personal growth.
  • Contribute to creating a positive learning environment by helping to manage classroom behaviour.
  • Support students with personal care needs, as required, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring seamless support for students.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to teachers and contributing to ongoing assessment and evaluation.
Requirements
  • Prior experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude, essential for building strong relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and teamwork.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team, sharing expertise and knowledge to enhance student outcomes.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are preferred but not essential.
