Research Funding and Finance Officer

This is a unique opportunity to join the NHS team as a Research Funding and Finance Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance on research funding, finance, and contracts to stakeholders.
About the RoleThe Research Funding and Finance Officer will work closely with the Research Contracts Manager to review and negotiate contractual agreements. The role will also involve providing support to the Health and Care Research Wales infrastructure in the completion of UK-wide tools and templates.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the first point of contact for queries relating to research funding, finance, and contracts.
- Provide support and guidance on research funding, finance, and contracts to stakeholders.
- Review and negotiate contractual agreements.
- Support the Health and Care Research Wales infrastructure in the completion of UK-wide tools and templates.
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of clinical research project management and experience in the planning, coordination, and conduct of clinical research studies. They will also have knowledge and experience in the practical application of the AcoRD policy and a good understanding of costing and contracting research within the NHS.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to think laterally, and work with minimal day-to-day supervision. They will also have excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, and be able to travel as required to locations in Wales and the UK.
