Job Overview

As a Medical Copywriter at McCann Health Paris, you will play a vital role in crafting engaging, scientifically sound content for our clients in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. This position requires a keen understanding of medical science, an ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling copy, and a flair for creativity.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop High-Quality Medical Content: Create clear, accurate, and engaging content across various platforms (digital, print, social) that adheres to regulatory standards and meets client objectives.
  • Research and Translate Complex Information: Conduct in-depth research to gather and verify information, synthesizing complex medical data into easily understood, impactful messaging.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with strategists, designers, and account teams to brainstorm and develop creative concepts, ensuring the content aligns with overall campaign strategies.
  • Adapt for Multiple Audiences: Tailor copy to target specific audiences, including healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers, making technical content accessible while maintaining scientific integrity.
  • Review and Edit: Proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand tone and messaging guidelines.


Requirements:

  • Background in Life Sciences: Bachelor's degree or higher in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field (advanced degrees a plus).
  • Writing Expertise: 2+ years of experience in medical copywriting, preferably in an agency setting, with a strong portfolio showcasing work in healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to translate complex medical information into clear, compelling copy, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Team-Oriented: Collaborative mindset and experience working cross-functionally within creative and scientific teams.
  • Multilingual Proficiency: Fluency in French and English is preferred; additional languages are a plus.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Requirements: Familiarity with regulatory standards (such as EMA, FDA, or similar) in healthcare communications.


Estimated Salary Range: €55,000 - €65,000 per annum
