About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in General Surgery at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.

As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and support the rehabilitation and discharge of patients with complex needs.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Support workers, and nursing staff to achieve patient rehabilitation and discharge goals
  • Managing and discharging Amputee patients
  • Providing specialist clinical training and leadership development to junior staff members

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
  • Experience in specialist clinical training and leadership development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
